Tasos the Kalymnios

(Formerly Brasosca)

Fish Taverna - ouzeri

Tasos had his own taverna on Kalymnos for 10 years before moving to Mastihari and has brought that experience to his taverna here which is of course, named after him! Situated right on the harbour front, you will be greeted by some familiar faces there as the taverna is run by Tasos, backed up in the kitchen by his parents, Manolis and Maria.

There is a wide selection of freshly caught local fish and of course the usual, traditional, Greek cuisine is there for the taking and there are also a few more Mediterranean delights to tempt your palate. Succulent tuna steak, cooked over charcoal and served with a variety of mouth-watering sauces being just one example of something a little different. Make a choice from a varied selection of ouzo to accompany your mezes.

There is a strong emphasise on fresh fish and locally caught shellfish, all displayed on ice for you to choose what you would like. All cooked to order and as fresh as can be.

The taverna is open from lunchtime until whatever time as is usual here, serving whatever you prefer at whatever time of day Whatever, Tasos and his staff will welcome you!

The specials of the day are displayed on the boards outside which saves taxing your brain and having to make the difficult choice of what you would like to eat this evening.

A warm and welcoming atmosphere surrounds you in the evenings when the lights are low and you can sit and watch the ferries going in and out whilst enjoying a good bottle of Greek wine - of which there are many.

Just enjoy!!

...........onwards!
