EXCURSIONS
Four of the most popular excursions on
the island are the ones that I will briefly
describe to you so that you have some idea
of what you can do while you are here on
holiday if you prefer not to sit on the
beach every day. These can be booked through
me, or when you get here and feel that you
have a little bit of spare energy. All are
picked up in the village.
Nissyros
Nissyros is an island about 1 hour's
sailing time away from Kos, the boat leaving
from the port of Kardamena.
The main attraction of this island, apart
from the lovely harbour village of Mandraki
(which is totally traditionally Greek), is
the live volcano!!
You actually have the opportunity to walk
down into the crater of an active volcano.
Watch steam jets spluttering out of yellow
holes which smell of sulpher. It is an
unforgettable experience and I always say to
people if they are only going to have one
day out, then go to Nissyros.

TURKEY
As I am sure you are aware Kos is very
close to Turkey and there are boats sailing
from Kos city to Bodrum.
If you like to go and barter for your
shopping then this is the place to visit.
There is a mind boggling selection of
products to choose from -from Turkish
Delight to diamonds.
Listen to prayers being called from the
Mosque and get the feeling that you have
arrived in the East.
Also, for those of you interested in
history, there is a fascinating award
winning nautical museum on the harbour.

3 ISLANDS CRUISE
Cruise away for the day on a wooden
sailing boat from Mastihari harbour to the
neighbouring islands Kalymnos, Pserimos and
Plati.
Totally relaxing day out where you will
be able to swim from the boat in waters so
clear that you can see every grain of sand
on the seabed. Lunch is included in the
price.
Don't forget to dophin watch, you might
be lucky!!
GREEK NIGHT
Up into the mountains to 'Fantasia' for
what is, reportably, one of the best 'Greek
Nights' in Greece. I must admit I have been
many times and still enjoy it.
Traditional Greek dancing and music;
Greek food,Greek (rather dubious) wine - as
much as you can drink - all taking place in
a breath-taking open air setting. Have your
cameras at the ready and motivate your
feet!!!
