Photo Gallery
Whilst my site
concentrates on Mastihari, there are times
when I find it difficult not to include
something about other parts of the island
which are so beautiful, and not only the
island of Kos as you can see below.
Instead of writing about
them I have decided to do some galleries of
photographs which gives you a taste of what
treasures you can find here if you have the
mind to get out and about.
The island of Giali as
seen from the boat on the way to Nissyros.
The island is made of pumice stone and is
constantly being quarried. It is one of the
main employment providers for Nissyros.

Scenes from round and about the church dedicated to the Virgin Mary in Mandraki, Nissyros.
The church itself is built inside a cave at the top of the steps.Wonderful place to visit.

Heading back down the
island to Palio Pyli and the road from Zia
to the Asklepion. It is worth hiring a car
to go and see these places.

These images speak for themselves. Go and visit this amazing place.

The majesty of nature set in the grounds of the worlds first hospital.

The marina in Kos town.

Flamingoes in winter at the salt flats in Tigaki.

The small harbour at Limnionas approaching from the road.
Limnionas with Kalymnos in the background.

You need your own transport to get there but with the one
taverna and one sandy and one pebbly beach it is lovely.
Great for snorkelling!
