'THE TRADITIONAL
HOUSE' TAVERNA
Towards the top end of
the beach you will find 'The Traditional
House' Taverna, where, as the name suggests
you can enjoy a traditional approach to the
enjoyment of your Greek food. A totally
family affair, run by Sabbas and Ioanna
along with their daughters, you can enjoy
hearty portions of your favourite Greek
food, looking out over the beach, whilst
listening to Greek music.
As well as being given
the menu to look at - which offers a good
choice of dishes - you will be invited to go
into the kitchen and see what the chef has
cooked that day. You will find stuffed
aubergines, lamb casseroles, pork with giant
beans, and delicious cheese pies to give you
a few examples of what you might expect.
As a huge added bonus,
most of the meat, salad ingredients and
vegetables, are produced by Sabbas on his
near-by farm. You will also be served
locally produced oil, wine, honey and
cheese. So not only is the food tasty, it is
also fresh and very good quality so
appreciate it and don't worry about the
calories!
If you decide not to stir
to far away from 'The Traditional House',
they also have sun-beds on the beach
directly in front of the taverna. Lovely
wooden beds with thick mattresses and
natural umbrellas.
'The Traditional House'
is open from early in the morning until
everyone is ready to go home in the evening
serving meals, icecreams, sweets and
refreshments all day.
