VILLA KALAMI GUEST HOUSE

A unique place to stay just 3 kms outside of Mastihari. Set in the open countryside with spectacular views across to the islands and Turkey, the guest house at the Villa Kalami provides an elegant, comfortable and truly relaxing setting for an memorable holiday.

Surrounded by nature and the sparkling colours of the sea and the mountain, there are few places on the island in a more idyllic setting.

From the large balcony, which sweeps the length of the guest house and the main house, you can enjoy the beauty of the local countryside and wildlife. Sit and watch the buzzards and hawks soaring overhead and the wonderfully coloured Bee-eaters and Rollers cavorting in the air.

The guest house adjoins the main house but is completely independent with its own entrance. The living room and kitchen are furnished with a mix of traditional and contempory styles which blend together wonderfully, in a mix of unobtrusive earthy tones.

There are 2 twin bedrooms, both with fitted wardrobes, on the ground floor. The house is built in such a way that the bedrooms are always cool and comfortably for sleeping. There is no need for air-conditioning.

The Villa Kalami is especially suitable for holidays early or late in the season as the walking around here is good - walk out of the door and there are miles of dirt roads to wander around whilst on the look-out for tortoises, birds and the vast and varied selection of wild flowers and herbs.There are old traditional houses dotted about, olive groves and beautiful views for photographers. Imagine walking over a field full of wild thyme and sage with the accompanying scents.

The Villa Kalami guest house is conveniently situated for the main road for exploring the rest of the island and it only takes 20 minutes to drive to Kos town. It is 10 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes from the nearest beach.

The owner lives in the main house and has a wealth of local knowledge to help you make the most of your stay.
