The Weather
This,
I'm sure you will check
on elsewhere, but
usually from the middle
of May it starts to get
reasonably warm.
Late
May and June, to me,are
the best times to come,
it is not red hot and
there is still some
greenery on the island.
July,
August and early
September are the
hottest times.
Late
September into early
October generally have
some lovely days, not
too hot to be
uncomfortable but hot
enough for the beach and
to get around a bit as
well.Late October, if
you are lucky can be
beautiful but on the
other hand there is a
risk that the weather
will start to change and
there could be some
rain.
The
other thing to know is
that Kos is a windy
island (that is why it
is so good for wind
surfing) and it is rare
that there is not a
breeze blowing in from
the sea.
This
means that even in the
height of Summer,
usually there is some
movement in the air so
you don't feel stifled.
Just
to prove that it does
rain I have included
this photo because lots
of people don't believe
it. This was taken in
December I hasten to
add!!
moving onto something
wetter.....
